Too bad, I forgot to take pictures of our iced orders--I and the bro-in-law had the super halo-halo and my wife had the peach special. The super halo-halo was, well, super. We requested for additional ube jam. After a load of carbs like that you have to walk fast a few rounds. So that was what I and my wife did. We walked fast around and outside SM for a while and had that as an added round for our traditional Walkfit Manila.
Back home, I did some isometrics to squeeze the fats out around the waist.
Back to Ice Bergs, I think next time I'd have the shakes as well. They looked real creamy and rich with flavors and especially a generous amount of vanilla, which I love. And the banana split varieties were quite tempting. But you can only have one big order of sweet dessert at a time if you're a health buff like me and make sure you burn that off right away.
Just imagine--the super halo-halo, the big bowl that it came in, had 3 medium scoops of ice cream plus dozens of other sweet ingredients, prominent of which were tender bananas. Because my bro-in-law asked for more ube jam helpings, we filled our bowls almost to the brim with it and had the whole thing colored purple already. That did a lot to the overall flavor--becoming more milky and creamy.
Our other companions (other family members of my wife) had equally huge ice cream orders, some had tall glasses of shakes. And while eyeing some more items on the menu (while savoring my halo-halo), I spied on several big snack sandwiches which I think I'd sample the next time around. So, more reviews later on what Ice Bergs at SM North has to offer..
